![]() Feel free to let us know of a bill that is not listed and should be of concern. There is also a link to the actual introduced bill itself, which makes it simple to look up a bill. Following is the AirTable containing those bills and by using the search function, a bill can be easily found, with the subcommittee summary of the bill and their level of concern. Those subcommittees are Annexation and ETJ, Development Character (Zoning, Platting, Building Codes, etc.), Economic Development/Redevelopment, Environment, Housing, and Transportation. The 250+ bills are in the AirTable and are divided into categories by the five subcommittees monitoring the legislation. The APATX Advocacy Committee is monitoring over 250 bills that have been determined to affect Planning and Development in Texas. (See AirTable link below) It will be updated with the status of bills including committee hearing updates and votes as they occur. The APATX Advocacy Committee working with our legislative advisor, Chris Sanchez of Salient Strategies, has once again created a 2023 AirTable of bills that they are monitoring. Committee Hearings have started on the bills. The various Senate and House committee members have been appointed and bills are being/have been assigned to committees. As of the March 10th deadline, no more bills can be introduced. The 88th session of the legislature is in full swing and a record number of bills were introduced.
